With growing concerns over digital dehumanization and increasing autonomy in weapons systems, the SGI has joined the community of civil society organizations opposed to the development, and use of killer robots; also known as autonomous weapons systems. We believe in human dignity and hold that life and death decisions should never be delegated to machines. In 2018, we became members of the Stop Killer Robots coalition which calls for new international law on autonomy in weapons systems.
