SGI Statements

Between 1983 and 2022, SGI President Daisaku Ikeda authored annual peace proposals addressing major world issues such as disarmament, the environment, human rights, the role of women and youth and the United Nations. 

The SGI will continue to issue statements to raise awareness and build global consensus for action. These statements are authored by the SGI Global Perspectives Committee, which includes SGI leaders engaged in peace activities across the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, Africa, North America and Latin America.
