CSW69 Parallel Event Recording | Activating an Intergenerational Movement for the Culture of Peace

This CSW69 parallel event, organized by SGI, brought together intergenerational participants from Bangladesh, Cameroon, Japan, Palestine, Lebanon and Sweden for a roundtable discussion exploring how the culture of peace can be lived in daily life and how we can build a global movement.

Co-moderated by Ivy Koek (SGI) and Dr. Suchi Gaur (World YWCA), it featured Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury, Former Under-Secretary-General of the UN and Founder of the Global Movement for the Culture of Peace, who shared a behind-the-scenes personal account on how the UN resolutions on the culture of peace and women, peace and security came about and its significance.
