On 18 November 2025, Soka Gakkai and Amnesty International cohosted a webinar titled “Human Rights Education and Youth Empowerment for Planetary Peace.” The event brought together youth advocates and educators who were featured in the film and educational tool, “Changemakers: Stories of Young Human Rights Educators,” jointly developed by the United Nations (OHCHR), Amnesty International and Soka Gakkai International to share perspectives on how human rights education can support young people in addressing global challenges.

Speakers included gender equality activist Soufiane Hennani from Morocco, Aizat Ruslanova of IDEA Central Asia based in Kyrgyzstan, and Irfaan Mangera of WeThePeopleSA in South Africa, who each shared initiatives on human rights education aimed at empowering youth in diverse regional contexts.
The event was part of the Voices for Peace webinar series, a flagship initiative of The Club of Rome’s global youth network, The 50 Percent. Emi Hashimoto of the Soka Gakkai International Office of Public Information served as moderator. A recording of the webinar is available online.
