Building Human Rights Education in the United Nations Framework: Dialogue with Elisa Gazzotti

This article, written in Spanish, is the result of a dialogue between Elisa Gazzotti, Human Rights Education program coordinator for the SGI Office for UN Affairs and Ana Belén García-Varela, Deputy Director of the Daisaku Ikeda Joint Research Institute for Education and Development at the University of Alcalá, Spain. It reflects on the importance of Human Rights Education in transforming our society and building peace inspired by the work of the philosopher and SGI President Daisaku Ikeda (1928–2023).

The article highlights the work SGI carries out in the field of Human Rights Education, in collaboration with the UN and other non-governmental organizations, to tackle some of the current challenges humanity is facing today. This work is rooted in the core belief in the respect for the inherent dignity of all lives.
